On February 28,1966, Vivian Nadine (McKinnis)-Croswell was born at the Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital in Jersey City.  She was the daughter of Lillian Oniel McKinnis-Croswell, who presently resides in Montgomery, Alabama.  Vivian's Mother is the eldest of eight children, born to the late George McKinnis/William Holloway Sr and (Lillie) Inez Russell of Enterprise, Alabama.  After the death of Vivian's maternal grandfather,George McKinnis, Vivian's maternal grandmother married the late William Holloway, Sr. Vivian's mother was born in Enterprise, Alabama.  Vivian's father, the late Elder Willie Frank Croswell was born in Troy Alabama and is one of four children, born to to the late Ella Kelly of Troy, Alabama.

Vivian began her education at 5 years old as a student of The Bergen School in Jersey City.  She also attended the Academy of Saint Aloysius, and while her Mother taught as a Graduate Professor/ Kentucky State University, Vivian was enrolled in Elkhorn Elementary School in Frankfort, Kentucky. Vivian graduated with Honors/Saludatorian from Academic High School in Jersey City and received her Bachelors Degree in 1989 from The University of Notre Dame in South Bend Indiana.  Prior to her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis in 1992, Vivian was employed as a Quality Control Analyst by InterBake Foods in Linden, New Jersey. Vivian's hobbies were designing and sewing Formal Dresses on a Singer Sewing Machine, Landscape Painting in Oil and Afro-Design and Braiding. Vivian 's Greatest LOVE was # 2 Mother of her niece Brianne and nephews (David)Anthony and (George) Brandon!

On October 6, 2021, Vivian Nadine (McKinnis)-Croswell made her earthly transition to her heavenly home to be with Our Lord. 
Vivian's Memory will be cherished by her loving Mother and devoted sister Lianna Janine (McKinnis)-Croswell, niece, Brianne and nephews David and George Croswell.  Vivian is also mourned by her sister Yolanda Croswell/Mother: Rosa Croswell

Lianna Jesus said: There exists no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend and the Bible also says..... everything will pass away but these three will remain, faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is LOVE. For the past 21 Years, YOU LOVED and took care of YOUR YOUR SISTER VIVIAN, THANK YOU!  May this TRIBUTE become a RECORD FOR POSTERITY!

Vivian will be missed dearly by a loving family, many friends from childhood, and the Jersey City neighborhood and schools where she grew up.
