Sadie Butler

Sadie Butler nee McMillan was called to rest on March 23 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ after living with failing health.

Sadie was born on January 21, 1941 to the late Evangelist Margie McMillan and Latt McMillan in St. Pauls, NC.

Her early education was received in St. Pauls, NC. She attended
Central State where she met and later married John James Butler. They set up residence in Garfield, NJ. From this union two daughters were born, Felicia and Cynthia “Cindy” who predeceased her.

She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age and, was a member of Calvary, attending until failing health prevailed.

Sadie worked for Anne Klein for a number of years until her retirement.

Her last residence was in West Orange, where she lived with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.

Sadie loved and doted on her grandchildren. She lived her life with quiet strength, determination and understanding.

She leaves to celebrate her life, daughter Felicia Cunningham, son-in-law Erik Cunningham, grand-children, Angel, Sarah and Naasir, sister Flora McMillan, nieces Margie Bines and Jennifer Glover, her uncle
Luther Toon and her aunt Mary Merritt, devoted cousin Lucille Hayes and devoted friend Elmer Lassiter, and a host of relatives, friends and
acquaintances.
