Rose Marie Spencer Long was the baby of five kids, born to Irene and Joseph Spencer on February 18 1973 in Jersey City NJ. She was called home and gained her wings February 11 2023.
Rose was educated by the Jersey City public school system earning her diploma in 1992 from Henry Synder High School. Throughout the years Rose held numerous jobs also being able to provide for her family. From a young age Rose showed the world her loving caring and nurturing personality. If you were blessed to know her then you knew she would tell you like it is all the while making you a hot plate of homemade food. She opened her door and heart to everyone and if you need it and she had it she would give it. Her laughter made you laugh and her smile made you smile and her cooking brought everyone together. She was a shoulder to cry on an ear to listen or a voice of reason.
One thing we can all agree on is that Rose was always down for a good time. She enjoyed hosting barbeques in the yard going out with her sisters and friends and of course dancing to some good music with her kids and grandkids. In her downtime you could catch her watching a good show or movie playing games on her phone or reading a good book. To say she was one of gods strongest soldiers is an understatement. She fought through life with a smile on her face and love in heart all the way to the very end.
Rose was welcomed at the heavenly gates by her parents Irene and Joseph Spencer and her Husband Louis Maurice Long Sr. And other loved ones we lost throughout the years.
Rose is survived by her children Shanequa Spencer-Long, Louis Long Jr, Irene Long along with additional kids Jamal Thomas, Tyisha Taylor and Jerlyssa Ponder. Her grandkids Nazih Higgins, Achilles Long and A’xyla Long. Her sisters Lisa Blue, Penny Wesley, and Catherine Brown-Bell, Annette Anderson, Her Brother Joesph Spencer jr and sister-in-law Renee Clark. A host of nieces and Nephews Cousin's friends and Family.
