Robert Tyshaun Washington

Robert Tyshaun Washington was born on July 20, 1980 to Gloria Reid and Robert Graves in Jersey City, New Jersey. Our shining light was dimmed on the morning of February 27, 2023.

Shaun was lovable, caring, and helped anyone with whatever they needed, no questions asked. Everything that he did came from the heart. He was known as a “Big Teddy Bear.”

Shaun attended St. Mary Elementary School in Jersey City, NJ and later attended Our Lady of Sorrows High School. Shaun enjoyed spending his time being very hands-on. He was known for fixing bikes, cars, plumbing, and doing odd jobs. From a young age, Shaun showed the world his outgoing, brave, and caring personality. Overall, Shaun was supportive to everyone and loved spending time with his children. He valued his role as a matriarch to everyone who crossed his path. 

Shaun was a loving father of eight children, Tatyana, Jahmel, Robert Jr., JaNiyah, Damonte, Lyric, Melody, and Harmony. Shaun leaves to cherish his nine siblings: Diamond, Marky, Sky, Robert Jr., Ashley, Alisha, Nijah, Kayla, and Jared; his loving parents Gloria Reid, Robert Graves and paternal grandmother Mary Graves-White; cousin Todd Graves, fiancé Diane Dassati; grandchildren, La’yirah, Gabriel, and Wyatt; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Though your physical body has died; we will carry the many memories of you in our hearts forever.
