Obituary for Ralph

Ralph Raye Payne was Born on February 16, 1965, to the Late Mary Ellen Irvin Payne and the Late Richard Nimrod Payne. Ralph was a lifelong resident of Newark New Jersey where he attended and graduated from Barringer High School. 

Ralph spent his childhood years as a proud gymnast of Newark’s Flip City with the encouragement of his Late brother Robert A. Payne. As a gymnast, Ralph traveled the world competing in many gymnastic events doing double and triple back flips. Ralph was a social butterfly who enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends.  He also enjoyed supporting and participating in Newark’s events and spending quality time with his family and friends. Ralph was very strong-willed and independent with a true positive outlook on life.

On August 29, 2024, Ralph Raye Payne was called home to be with the Lord.  He leaves to mourn him his loving siblings Beverly G. Giscombe, Esq., Richard Payne (Monica), and Rosalyn Payne,  nieces and nephews Candyce Payne, BeverlyePayne, Ericka Payne, Hakeisha Edney, Irie Williams, and Ibn Robinson, great nieces and nephews Daynajah, Al-Salik, Laila, Haven, Samir, Samiyah, his lifelong friend Faye Garrett and a host of family and friends. Ralph will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his family, who will remember his smile and witty sense of humor.

We thank you for the life of Ralph Raye Payne and the time we shared with him. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace in your loving arms. Grant us strength to carry his memory with us, and may his kindness, love, and spirit guide us each day. We ask for your grace and peace to surround us in this time of sorrow.

Until we meet again may our beloved Ralph Rest in Heavenly Peace.
