Minnie Ethel Diggs Curry

My Angel Has Flown Away
Her name was Minnie Curry born in Edgefield, South Carolina to the late Louis and Mattie Diggs. This beautiful union of love was blessed with five boys and 1 girl, Louis Diggs, Benny Diggs, Charles Diggs, James Diggs, Joseph Diggs and the angel of the union, my angel Minnie Diggs.
After relocating to Plainfield, New Jersey with her husband. This union was blessed with a sweet blessing a daughter, Ethel Curry. Minnie dedicated her working experience for many years as a machine operator, and taking care of the sick and shut in. She was a soldier of the cross at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Jersey City until 1954.

It was in 1954 she joined Bethel Temple SDA Church and served faithfully for over 50 years. Serving faithfully as a Missionary volunteer, assistant A Y Leader, Temperance Leader, and serving in the Community Services Department, Usher Department and Finance Department. She loved every single department with her whole heart. 
To my precious daughter Ethel, words could never describe, or express the joy you brought to me as a daughter. I can not tell you not to weep, I know you will because your loved one has gone. Always remember dear, the one "Great Pleasure" that you can have within your heart, is that you did everything humanly possible to make me a happy and proud mother. 
I thank God He blessed me with you as a daughter and for giving me my lovely grandson Antwan, who meant so much to me and loved me very dearly. My only request now is for you and Antwan is to continue loving one another, keeping the Lord as your total focus. Hoping one day soon we will meet again in the Earth Made New. A place where there will be no more tears or parting of love ones.
Minnie will live on in the hearts and minds of those she loved and to those that loved her, Her loving daughter and best friend, Ethel Curry, grandson Antwan Anderson; Great grandchildren A.J. Anderson and Celeste Anderson. Her precious nieces and nephews Diane Diggs Anderson, Patricia Diggs Parker, Betty Malloy, Mattie Diggs, Louis Diggs, Damali Diggs, Direne Diggs, Tracey Diggs, and Kevin Diggs, Cheryl Diggs, Benny Diggs, Romona Diggs, Coretta Diggs and Geneva Diggs. She also leaves to cherish her memory her loving Trinity Temple SDA Church family, the Awesome Dr. Howard Levine who has been my doctor (Ethel) for 24 years and hers also. Barney Anderson, whom she loved with all of her heart. She profoundly called him her son. Minnie also leaves a host of other loving relatives and friends.
