Maggie Vernette Davenport (Sister) was born in Harlem New York on July 8th 1948 to the late George Edward Jones and Lunette Jones, she was the youngest of 2 Siblings born to this Union Maggie was educated in the New York and New Jersey school system. Maggie Married Joseph Gamble in 1964 and to this loving Union two children were born: Joseph Edward Gamble and Vernadette Venise Gamble. She accepted Christ at an early age, she Attended Mother A.M.E. Zoin Church in Harlem New York.
Maggie work for Square Parking Industry for 20 years and later worked for Costco Shipping Company for about 15 years. She retired in 2016 and moved to Fayetteville North Carolina where she enjoyed her retirement and love going to various line dancing events as well as BINGO and visiting her Family. Her face lit up when she seen her Lancaster South Carolina and New York family.
Maggie was a very outgoing person who never met a stranger. Everyone who lives in Holland Garden was and still is her family forever. She was kind, generous, thoughtful and always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. She loved to cook for her family and friends. Her family was the most important part of her life. She met friends in New York City, Jersey City, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Maggie was a dedicated Mother, Grandmother (Donnis) Godmother (Summer), and she loved all children. Maggie leaves to cherish her memories: Her son Joseph Gamble, Daughter Vernadette Gamble-Paupaw, Daughter-in-law Joanne Gamble, Son in-law Dominick Paupaw, her sister-in-law Josephine Jones, and a host of Niece, Nephews, and cousins Aunt (Jesse, Jeannie, Denise, Patricia, Jackie, Brenda, Debbie, Mary, and Joyce) and Best friends (Alice, Louise, and Maryann) etc......
