Lizzie M Williams was born in Roxboro NC on May 18, 1938 to the late Doll Paylor-Rogers and James Henry Sr, She was raised in Woodsdale NC. Lizzie was surrounded by her loved ones as she transitioned to eternal life on August 16, 2024.
Lizzie was educated in the Person County School System and was a member of Mill Hill Baptist Church at a young age. She met and married her late husband Ivory Williams Sr. Until his Sudden Death in 1967. She then relocated to Newark NJ in 1966. Once she relocated to Newark NJ she joined Everready Church of Christ. Then she later joined Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.
Lizzie was employed by Marriott Airline Sevices, Newark Preschool Council, and CNA Insurance Company which later switched to Allstate Insurance where she retired in Lizzie joined The International Masons and Order of The Easter Stars where she's been a member for 49 years. She was a member of the following houses Queen Vashti 140 (Foundation and Queen of South), Star of Hope & Ever-Red, Pyad Deer, Chrise of Rod Tadin Rose Col- lege (Knights of Cross), and Rose Auxiliary. Her positions held were VM for Queen Vashti, New Jersey State monitor and Grand District Queen Bathsheba.
Lizzie is proceeded in death by her late husband Ivory Williams St. Her parents James Henry St. and Doll Pay-lor-Rogers, and five of her siblings Colleen Rogers, Euly-sess Rogers, Linwood Rogers, SGT Christopher Rogers Sr., and Willy Rogers. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her seven daughters: Dorthy Williams(NC), Brenda Nelson (NJ), Jacqueline Williams(Richard)(NJ), Wanda Williams(NC), Curlie Williams-Silvers (Micheal) (NJ, Wendy Underwood (GA), Kiva N.Williams (Jamie) (NJ) and her son Ivory Williams Jr. (Francene) (NC). Alongside her grandchildren Rodney, Senica, Jamie, Krystal, Charita, Joseph(Kris), Bianca, Niles(Miesha), Shakemma(Tommy), Shudney, Nijah (Harkeem), Myesha, Hakim(Iliana), Felica, and Kerenza and 25 great grandchildren. Her siblings Inez R.Carter, Sally R.Jones, Annie R.Bradsher, John Paul Rogers, James Goods, Lonnie Rogers, and Austin Rogers. Her special friends Clemetine Dickens and Audrey Evans A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
