Obituary
Lavella Denise Jackson was born on June 13, 1970, in Jersey City New Jersey to Joseph and Merrill McCoullough. She was the 5th of 6 children. She attended P.S 14 Elementary and Graduated from Lincoln High School in Jersey City. After completing high school, Lavella went straight into the working field. She started at Capital One Bank as a bank telling for some years. Then, she went to further her career at Fed-Ex where she stayed and grew within the company until her final days.
Lavella was a loving mother to her one and only son, Geremy Jackson. Lavella was a very happy, peaceful but often outspoken woman who would question you about anything her heart wanted to know. Her smile was never dim and would light up any room, her laughter brought joy to your very soul. She loved her African and Reggae Music and danced from the time she got there until the party was over and you would often find her attire complimenting her love of the mother land.
She was preceded in her death by her mother, Merrill McCoullough, Her Grandparents, Brother-In-Law Marfece Couch and James Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memories, with her Beloved Son Geremy Jackson, Her Father Joseph Mccullough, Her Goddaughter Yasmere Jackson Whom she called Muffy, Her brothers Charles (Duco) Jackson, Anthony (Tony) Jackson, Marvin Jackson, Her sisters Dorothy Mclean, Jannette Jackson Couch, Celia Ann Brown, and Sharee Wilkerson, her Sister in Law Kalia Jackson also her aunts Ardrena Jackson-Jenkins which whom she had a special bond, Mary Jane Best, Ruth Ann Gaines, Mary Jackson, and her Uncle Robert Jackson, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that celebrate her life.
