The Life Of Howard B. Nelson Jr.
Howard B. Nelson Jr. book of life began on October 29, 1963 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Howard B. Nelson Sr. and Mary E. Nelson.
Howard who was also known as “Wimpy” by his family and friends. He received his education through the Jersey City Public School System.
Later in his life he accepted the Lord as his Savior, he attended “Reaching Out Deliverance Ministries” under the leadership of Bishop Graham and Apostle Teresa Speaks of Jersey City, NJ.
In the late 80’s Howard B Nelson met the late Adell Tallington and out of that relationship two children were born the late Darren “Reesy” Tallington and Chanelle Tallington.
Howard worked at various employments, but his last position was at Fabuwood of Newark, NJ. He was kind, opened hearted and most of all humorous. Music was his life, he enjoyed dancing, cooking and making others smile. But most of all he cherished the times he spent with his family. Wimpy loved the kids.
On Saturday June 26, 2021 an angel of the lord came down and said, “Job well done my child” and took him home. Where there is peace, joy and happiness. No more pain, heartaches or discontent. Only sweet, sweet serenity.
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Mary E. Nelson, one son Darren Maurice “Reesy” Tallington, one uncle the late Rev. Alex Nelson, two aunts the late Mary L. Nelson and Clara Monroe, two sisters Adrienne Nelson and Bethine Sims and one niece Khalilah Sims.
Howard leaves to cherish his memories one daughter Chanelle Tallington, one grandson Darren Maurice “King” Tallington, a special friend Xavier Bell-Durham, five sisters Pansy, Jacqueline (Cliff), Patricia (Samuel) Tiesha and Felicia. Three brothers Alex, Rodney and Shawn. Seven aunts Betty, Jean, Susan all from Conway South Carolina, Dorothy of Landover, Edith, Mary Francis and Mary Louise of Florida. Six uncles Bengey, Isadore, Addul, Harold also from Conway South Carolina, Henry from Virginia Beach and Julius from Clarksonville, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
