On Monday October 18 th , 2021 Howard C Harrington was called home. Howard departed this world receiving love from his family and friends. Howard was preceded in death by his wife Rosalie Harrington and son Howard” Kippy” Harrington. Howard was born on May 23 rd , 1934 to the late Henry Harrington and Lula Harrington in Wolf Pit, North Carolina. As a young man Howard attended and graduated from Rockingham Colored High School. Howard moved to Jersey City, New Jersey where he met his wife Rosalie and the two became members of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Howard began his working career as a Bus Operator for New Jersey Transit.
In addition to this, Howard was the owner and operator of the Bus Stop Lounge which was a place many people came to and received the best service and enjoyed each other’s company. For those who knew him, Howard was a man of dedication, compassion and kindness. Howard spent his time being a person to call on in any time of need and loved gatherings filled with family and friends. To know Howard is to know someone who cares and is not afraid to take a chance to be there for those in need.
Howard leaves to cherish many memories shared by his kids’ daughters Robin Wilson of Jackson NJ, Rhonda Wood (Wendell) of Cliffwood NJ, Renee Fryson of Franklin Township and son Andre Fryson (Makeda) of Franklin Township, grandkids Jayden, Blake, Myles, Ayanna, Jahlil, and Cierra. As well as being a father to many, specifically his Sister in Law Ruthie Rogers and nephew Troy Gamble who he raised and loved as his own.
