Dwaine Haynes Obituary

                                      OBITUARY

Dwaine Keith Haynes AKA “Raheem” was born on September 18, 1963 in Newark New Jersey to the late Agnes Haynes and Dr. Leroy Hodges Sr. He was predeceased by his siblings: Anita Jones, Leroy Hodges Jr., William Hodges and Steven Hodges.

In 1982, he graduated from Barringer High School in Newark New Jersey. After graduation, Dwaine was hired by his father and worked for 40 years as a Glazer (Mirror and door installer) for Hodges Glass and Mirror Inc. and Hodges True Value Hardware located in Newark New Jersey. Dwaine was a dedicated and dependable worker with great skills and knowledge of all aspects of the glass and hardware industry. While working in the glass company he was self-taught to design customize mirrors and special projects. After Hodges Glass and Mirror secured a 20-year contract with NJIT and The Fidelco Group with Mark Berson, he was committed to work with his Dad to successful completing every assignment, fulfilling the requirements and reaching the highest level of excellence. His Dad retired and closed the stores in 2009 after a longtime illness which Dwaine became an assistant care giver until his sickness required 24-hour care.

He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a true believer. Dwaine was a member of Strangers Home Pentecostal Church for over 20 years, served as a maintenance worker in keeping the grounds and church clean. He did not leave the house without his bible. He read his bible and study God’s word every day. He believed, trust and had a lot of faith in God. His favorite saying was ‘GOD GOT ME’ and he’s going to take care of me and believed it with his whole heart. To know Dwaine was to love him. He was loving, caring, outspoken and extremely funny. He lived his life on his own terms. He loved his family dearly, especially his children. He will be missed by many love ones including his sisters and brothers.
