Alice Williams was born on September 30 1935 to the late Louise Baldwin and late John Greene.She received her education in the Newark School system. She attended Central High School, where she was a Twirrler.at the age of 14, she requested from her mother if she could convert to be a catholic. It was at this time she converted and has been a true catholic ever since.
Mrs. Williams has been a member of Blessed Sacrament for over 60 years. She had been the President of the Rosarians for 10 plus years, Eucharistic Minster, she was on the planning for many church retreats and attended numerous Black Catholic Conferences. She had been chairperson of the bereavement committee for 15 plus years. In a word she worked very hard in many capacities within the church.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Yvonne Hopkins of East Orange, 1grand daughter Je'Vonna Hopkins, 1 nephew Jeffrey Williams of Newark, 1 niece Roxanne Williams of New York and 1 great nephew Dayron Williams of New York.
