Wallace Hull was born April 27, 1918 in Shelby, NC to the late Betty and Simmeon Hull. He moved to Bayonne, NJ in the early 50’s and worked for Englander Mattress Company until their closing in the 70’s. He then started his painting and decorating business, Wallace Hull Painting Company. He married Bettie Jean Castleberry in May 1982. Wallace also ran a family restaurant, The Hull House, in Bayonne, NJ from 1992-1997. He was a member of Faith Temple Baptist Church in Jersey City, NJ where he served as a Deacon and on the of Board of Trustees .
He is preceded in death by his wife Bettie Jean Hull, four Brothers - J.D., J.C., Simon and James Hull; two sisters - Luvenia Gregory and Dorothy Hull; one son - Paul Hull. He leaves cherished memories to his daughter and caregiver, Nicole Johnson of Jersey City, NJ; nephews James Hull, Rashon Castleberry (Jacquees), Terrell Hull; nieces - Betty Mixon, Veronica/Joseph Falligan, Marion Thomas, Dorothy Bell, Loretta Wright (Dennis), Parthia Strong, Simonya Clark-Williams, Marcia Clark, Lynn Thorpe, Keisha Hull Danielle J. Lawson, DeAndera J. Lawson sisters-in-law - Sylvia J. Lawson, Brenda Sue Castleberry, Martha Clark; brother-in-law - Jackie Ray Castleberry; best friend - Isaiah Albright; as well as a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
