Roy Daniel Faulkner born June 28, 1933 to the late Florence Baird Faulkner and Frank Faulkner Sr in Roxboro, NC. He was preceded in death by two sisters Janie Faulkner-Harris and Joyce Faulkner-Ragland and two brothers, Zeodies Faulkner and Frank Faulkner Jr.
Roy grew up in Person County and attended the county schools. At a young age he began working with his father and later relocated to Atlantic City working as a laborer. After working several years in Atlantic City, he then relocated to Jersey City working for Groeschke Construction until he formed his own business, Faulkner Construction as a Mason Contractor. Roy took pride in his work, and if you are ever in some of the areas of Jersey City, you may see his name stamp displaying his work.
Roy loved his family, his cars and enjoyed talking to so many people.
He was well respected and would help anyone in need and touched the lives of many who came in contact with him.
Roy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rosa B Smith Faulkner of the home. Five daughters and three sons; Deborah A Faulkner Lewis (Michael) of Melrose, MA, Roy E Faulkner of Kittrell, NC (Melissa), Carolyn D Faulkner of the home, Florence E Faulkner Amaker of Jersey City, NJ (James), Anthony S Faulkner of Jersey City, NJ, Troy D Faulkner of Jersey City, NJ Tracy N Faulkner of Bear, DE, Tara L Faulkner of the home. Sixteen grandchildren, Tramaine (Boo Boo), Troy, Trey, Michael, Stephen, Mark, Tyra, Justin, Jordan, Shonta, Tiffanie, Amira, Evona, Jazaya, Marquise, Marcel. One special great grandchild, Mikael, one Aunt, Vearl Ellis of Oxford, NC. Honorary sons, Henry Street, Steven Wiggins, Steven Sharpe, Marc Williams, Jason Williams, Jason Butler, William Jacobs, Morgan Faulkner, and a host of nieces nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
