Jacqueline (Nunery) Sherman departed this life on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Robert Wood Medical Center.
Jacqueline was born on January 15, 1950 to the late George Russell Nunery and Lillian (Everett) Nunery in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Jacqueline worked diligently as a dedicated educator in Social Studies, Science and Language Art at PS #41 for over thirty-five years. She taught the 6th through 8th grade students up to her retirement in 2006.
Surviving to cherish Jacqueline’s precious memories are her devoted husband: Robert Sherman; two aunts: Almaeda Cousins and Mamie McCoy; two sisters-in-law: Eloise Presswood and Doris Sherman; one brother-in-law: Carlton Sherman Jr.; two loving goddaughters: Tasha Fox and Brianne McAdams; one godson: Andrew Washington; two beloved nieces: Alonda Harvey and Gail King; two adoring great nieces: Simone Williams and Na’Kiya Butts; special friends: Geraldine Goss, Francine Jenkins, Gloria Washington, Lois Sally, Cathy Williams and Cynthia Goodwin; a host of caring nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation: Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Claremont-Lafayette United Presbyterian Church, 417 Rose Avenue, Jersey City; Funeral Service will immediately follow at 9:30 a.m. Interment: Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, New Jersey.
