EddieRene Williams

May 30, 1937 ~ April 20, 2017 (age 79) 79 Years Old

Eddie Rene Williams was born May 30, 1937 to the late Rev M.C. Jenkins and the   late Irlene Gladden in Shellman, Georgia.  She married John Wesley Williams January   19, 1957.   They relocated from Shellman, GA to Newark, NJ in July 1962.  

During her time in the marketplace, she worked has a concierge in various hotels and worked with handicap children. 

Eddie Rene Williams became a member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church

She served in the Ushers and Repast ministries. She enjoyed serving the Lord in these ministries. We believe the Movie War Room was inspired by her and many others who practiced knee logy.   She truly was a prayer warrior.   We believe God have some prayers bottled up for her to be release in the near future for her family. We believe prayer do not have an expiration date.

She had a book published which headline “Literacy Success Story” in the Star-ledger.    The autobiography of a woman who did not quit in learning how to read.  The book was called My Story.

Eddie Rene Williams leave to cherish her memory her siblings; Martha Johnson,

Mary Butts, William Jenkins, Valerie Grimes, Jennifer Dawson, and Aunt Doris Cherry.

2 Uncles preceded her in death;   Clearance Jenkins, and L J  

5 siblings preceded her in death; Mike Jenkins Jr., Ruby Jenkins, Reatha Jenkins,

Aunt Willie Mae , and Lois.   

 Her children –   Georgia Ann Scott (Andre), Johnnie Lee Williams (Debra), Lorraine Purdy (Ron), Mary Ann Grant (Bernard), Juanita Lewis (Lawrence), Elaine Williams 2 children preceded her in death; John Wesley William Jr., and Jerome Williams.

45 grandchildren;  90 great grandchildren. 

She also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends.
